This 4hr course provides the necessary training per OSHA 1910 & 1926 for any worker intended to fulfill the Entrant role in a confined space.
Topics include definition and identification of confined spaces (permitted and non-permitted), hazards, roles, necessary equipment, and safe work practices.
*Upon passing of written exam at end of class students will receive a certificate, wallet card, and hard hat sticker from Apex Rescue Group documenting completion of training IAW applicable standards.
This 4-8 hr course fulfills the necessary training per OSHA 1910 & 1926 for any worker who may be required to fulfill the ENTRANT or ATTENDENT roles in a confined Space.
Curriculum includes an in-depth presentation of topics covered in our CS Awareness class. With emphasis placed on atmospheric hazards/monitoring, paperwork, rescue procedures/requirements, and hazard prevention/mitigation. Students will receive hands on training with atmospheric monitors, fill out a permit, and receive demonstration on proper wearing of a harness.
* Entry and Retrieval practical evolution can be arranged as part of this class within the 8 hr time frame.
*Upon passing of written exam students will receive a certificate, wallet card, and hard hat sticker from ARG documenting completion of training IAW applicable standards.
This 4-8 course is for workers intended to fulfill the Competent Person/Entry Supervisor role.
A discussion-based class giving a real-world approach to the complex world of PRCS entry operations and regulatory requirements. Structured to engage students in open discussion with instructors. Rooted in our "Smart and Practical is Safe and Effective" principal, we dispel common misconceptions and provide the "why" behind regulatory requirements.
Topics include:
-CS/PRCS characteristics and assessment
-Entry Supervisor responsibilities
-Permitting/Documentation
-Entry procedures
-Hazards
-Atmospheric monitoring
-Emergency procedures/ "means of timely rescue"
-Hazards (Present and Potential)
Students will get hands on with atmospheric monitors and fill out PRCS documents including permit and hazard assessment. The class will end with instructors speaking on the importance of emergency preparedness, the domino effect and lethality of complacency.
*Upon passing of written exam students will receive a Certificate of Completion, and T-Shirt from ARG.
A hands-on training course covering the correct implementation of technical rope rescue skills in industrial settings. Instructors will analyze the client needs and develop a customized rescue plan. Then structure curriculum around the knowledge and skills necessary to deploy the pre- determined rescue technique/s. Topics include: basic rescue theory, safety factors, advanced pulley systems, changes of direction, anchor selection and rigging, patient packaging, and load management/belay devices.
*This class is custom tailored for customer needs. Preferred length is 5 days/6-8hrs each
* Upon passing of written and practical evaluations, students will receive Certificate of Completion from ARG. Customer will receive official copy of Rescue Plan
*At minimum, annual refresher is needed
This 2-day hands on course is designed to be safe and simple while minimizing risk to the rescuer. Workers will be taught safe and effective “self-rescue” techniques and prepare them for “assisted rescue” when required. The course includes hands-on training for rescuing a co-worker who is suspended from a personal fall arrest system (PFAS). Topics include: descent control systems, lowering techniques, haul systems, line transfers and the hazards of suspension trauma.
*Upon passing of written exam students will receive a Certificate of Completion from ARG documenting completion of training.
This 4-8hrs course provides entry-level knowledge on working at heights. Teaches the proper techniques for inspecting, use, and maintenance of fall protection equipment. Utilizing both in-class and hands-on learning to fully communicate the hazards associated with working at heights.
*Upon passing of written exam students will receive a certificate, wallet card, and hard hat sticker from ARG documenting completion of training IAW applicable standards.
Treating the Trauma and Emergency response readiness class is taught by Full Time Professional Firefighters, Paramedics, and EMTs. A crash course in rendering immediate aid too an injured coworker before 911 arrives. Techniques and methods taught in this class are the same ones employed today by emergency responders across the globe. Down and dirty emergency care that saves lives!
* This is a hands-on non-certificate course.

Learn the proper techniques of basic CPR/AED/First Aid. This class follows the National Safety Council Course guidelines.

Per OSHA “Where the employer has provided portable fire extinguishers for employee use; training must be provided to employees upon initial employment and at least annually thereafter.” This Hands On Live-Fire training is intended to fulfill these OSHA mandated training requirements. Whether initial training, or the required annual refresher, our Lion I.T.S training prop is great for building confidence and practicing proper technique of extinguisher deployment. This course is taught by full time professional firefighters.
